Property values have been on the increase over the last
few years in Cyprus, due to a combination of factors, such
as the relative increase in prices in the Spanish market,
and also largely in anticipation of Cyprus’s entry to
the European Union last year. Growth rates of between 15%
and 20% have been experienced in the run-up to EU entry and
as land values continued to increase at a similar rate last
year it is reasonable to assume that property prices will
continue to increase at a similar rate. There is still strong
demand from abroad, particularly the UK as Cyprus offers many
benefits in terms of lifestyle and investment.
