Cyprus has some special tax advantages for UK citizens.
A Double Taxation Treaty allows UK Citizens to receive their
pensions and investment income in Cyprus free of any UK withholding
tax. Insurance pensions can also be paid under the same agreement,
and these are index linked by reciprocal agreement.
You are allowed to purchase or import one car duty free,
plus a yacht and all of your household personal effects, when
moving to Cyprus, as long as these are not new.
